Haw River Police Department 
 
HAW RIVER, NC – On April 24, 2021 at 6:35 pm, the Haw River Police Department responded to the CVS Pharmacy located at 1009 West Main Street with a report of a Larceny. Upon arrival, officer found that multiple items were stolen from the store.
Suspect was described as 30- 45 years old White Female, brown long curly hair, wearing a black mask, black long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and gray knee-high boots (see attached photo). Suspect left in an early 2000’s Red Honda CR-V with an unknown driver.

Breaking and Entering of a Business

 

The sledgehammer bandit strikes again, but this time on the other side of the city.

 

On 03/26/2021 at 03:05:05 hrs., officers were dispatched to Short Stop Food Mart located at 217 S. Ireland St. in reference to a business alarm indicating a front door glass break and interior motion. Officers arrived on the scene at 03:06:11 to find that the business had been broken into and the suspects had fled the scene. Surveillance video showed a male suspect exit from the passenger side of possibly a light-colored sedan with a sledgehammer.  The male then used the sledgehammer to break the front door glass at which time he and another male entered the business.  There were multiple items stolen including an undetermined amount of money.
